Where the money goes

Let me talk about where the money will go, before the money comes.

Although I don't think I will earn enough money to compensate my labor, the money will encourage me to continue to the project. That's a fact.

However; The most of the money will go to the Server maintenance. Because, the traffic is going heavier day by day and it exceeds the daily free quota of Google App Engine. That's why; Some of you encounter an error about the Server at the end of day mostly.

But, fear no more. The project is not limited with the free quota anymore.

Instant Lyrics Lite and Pro is Out!

I am very busy with my real job these days. But thanks to the holiday we have, I could manage to develop the ad supported free and ad free paid version of Instant Lyrics.

I would like to thank to the users bought the Pro at the first 12 hours. They really encourage me to continue to this project and add more features that users want. On the other hand, I didn't see anybody irritated from ads in the comments. I am very happy about it. Thank you.

Playlist Feature

"Love the app! Is there any way you can add a shuffle button? Keep up the great work!" from Susan Sanders.

I take this kind of questions often. Instant Lyrics only controls the Music Player in your device. It does not have a custom playlist. When you click Next Song button, the next song in the current playlist will be played. Moreover, If you select shuffle button in the music player, the next random song in the playlist will be played. So, this feature is already supported, just select from your music player.

On the other hand, I have an idea to add extra features but due to main reason of the app I want to keep things simple and clean. May be, in the future, it may have a gesture mechanism to activate this kind of features. But, it is still in a thinking phase.

Version 2.2 is Out with HTC Hero Support

I was receiving a lot disappointing feedbacks from HTC Hero users. Because, Instant Lyrics wasn't supporting HTC Hero Music Player. But I am very happy to announce that Instant Lyrics started to support HTC Hero. Yayyy!

I am planning to support other music players including Pandora, Shazam, Meridian and Last.FM in the future. Please leave a comment anything about this release.

I would like to thank to HTC Hero users especially to Norman Ames for their feedbacks and beta testing.

As I mentioned I will answer appropriate questions publicly and this is the first question. Very excited.

I think this should be a paid AP. I will certainly recommend it my friends, but if you have plans to make it a paid AP, let me know soon because I think it is only right that I recommend it after you start charging for it IF you plan to charge for it. If not, I'll recommend it as a cool free AP from a great designer.

This is an FAQ actually. You are certainly right to know what will happen to this app. Yes, I am planning to monetize the project to support the development. But, I want to do this without doing any harm to the current users and irritate them. So, my plan is to make the current app ad supported and release a new paid version that is ad free. I would like to hear what you think about this idea and how much the ad free version should be. Please leave a comment.

On the other hand, you are free to recommend to your friend. As I said, there will be two versions anyway and your friends are free to choose anyone they would like anytime they want.

I receive a lot e-mails from Instant Lyrics users. First of all, I would like to thank you all for your attention. I am very flattered and encouraged with your good comments and positive feedbacks. Please keep up the feedbacks. Because, they are shaping the app.

But, I realized that I don't give much information about the insights, new features and planned features of this projects to all except those e-mailed me. So, I decided to start a blog and answer the questions asked to me from here and give information about the insights, new features and planned features as I mentioned.
